🍋 Sienna's lemonade Stand 🍋
Many of us grew up selling lemonade to earn a few extra bucks for candy or toys. Sienna (my six year old daughter) recently decided that she really wants a bunk bed with a slide. If you know Sienna, you know that she's not a kid who fusses about wanting toys or really asks for much. She loves her Squishmallows, building worlds on Minecraft (even teaching herself to code and spawn villages or whatever lol) but is also perfectly happy playing with empty boxes that she turns into cars, shops and grocery stores. So when she asked for a bunk bed with a slide, it hit a soft spot in my heart, but unfortunately it is wildly out of our budget right now. So we brainstormed ways she could make and save her own money.
Her ideas included selling her toys, our family dog (poor Winnie), and even making keychains with fuse beads…....but in the end, she decided she really loved making earrings the most (we've done this in the past as gifts for her friends and teachers).
I created this little section of my shop just for her. Everything here is handmade by Sienna (with a little help, of course 💕). I think it’s important to teach her the value of working hard, saving her money, and feeling proud of what she earns. This is her first little lesson in creativity, patience, and believing in herself, one creation at a time.
